About
Founded in 1904 and nestled directly behind the State Theatre in downtown Cleveland’s Playhouse Square, The Hermit Club is the nation’s oldest continuously operating private social club for performing arts. The Club is home to many amateur and semi-professional actors, singers, musicians, performers and other artists, as well as those who enjoy watching them perform.
Since its founding, Hermits have enjoyed the thrills of performing, applauding, laughing and spending time with fellow Hermits and friends. Learn more about our History.
